The project was created entirely on our own — from the first sketch to the final rendering. It all started from frustration.

In my hometown of Šaľa, Slovakia, the only bridge connecting the city center with its largest district, Veča, has been in a poor state for years. Built in 1976, it's structurally outdated and visibly falling apart. Instead of long-term planning or structural repairs, local officials have been patching holes with quick cement fixes — again and again. As drivers, we’ve damaged our cars more than once just trying to cross it. We were tired of waiting.

So we decided to take matters into our own hands.

Outside of our client work, we used our spare time to imagine what a proper solution could look like. We designed a completely new bridge with a modern steel arch spanning 135 meters, a prestressed concrete deck, and integrated greenery and walkways to improve both functionality and the public space. But we didn’t stop there — we proposed turning an abandoned riverside platform into a vibrant community restaurant and cultural space, turning neglected infrastructure into a focal point for civic life.

Everything — from design to visualization — was done in-house, as a creative and personal response to a real urban problem. We are fully aware this project will never be built, but we believe good design can inspire action, and sometimes change begins by simply showing what’s possible.
