I’m looking for recommendations on the CPU for purely 3ds Max viewport performance. I already have a Threadripper 3990X dedicated to rendering, so this is strictly about improving responsiveness in the viewport.
From what I understand, single-threaded performance plays a big role here, but I’m curious about how different CPUs actually compare in real-world 3ds Max usage. Would a Ultra 9 285k or 14900k would be a good choice? Or maybe something from AMD?
If anyone has experience upgrading for better viewport performance, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
