Does not change the size of the sphere, a change in the radius of the light source. Only after updating the type of light source.

what version of 3Dsmax and what viewport driver do you use?

hm, I remember I once saw it in some older version of 3dsmax, I thought it was some random problem of 3dsmax, because it works fine in 2013. I'll have to look into it.
