Hi,

I am new to Corona and trying to render an exterior scene with a lot of instances.  When doing the scene parsing, geometry optimization and secondary GI the ram usage goes to the roof (I only have 6 G) while the cpu stays well below 10%. Last time I tried to render with a resolution of 1600*850 and it took close to 90 minutes to calculate 50% of the secondary GI. Am I hitting a ram problem here?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Keymaster,

Just want to say thanks. I got more memory and the render times are like 10x lower. No kidding.

For the same scene? I would check if your computer is working properly, this looks very strange. Try some standard benchmark, or the Corona A4 benchmark.
