Hi,

Please attach screenshots of the settings, in as much detail as possible, and also the render, with and without global volume.
This will help giving you the correct advice.

This seems to be working as expected.
For the window glass - you are using a material with lowered absorption and a gray color. This makes windows darker. Perhaps a better choice would be using "Thin shell (no inside)" option at the top of the Physical Mtl's settings. This removes refraction and any volumetric effects but you can still control how "dark" your glass should be.

For the pool water - do not use any scattering color (just set it to black). Use absorption color and distance only. Otherwise you are simulating tiny gray particles scattered in water. Absorption is set to blue so white light is filtered and becomes pink.
