Just testing Update 1 Hotfix 1 and the performance is drastically improved for me.  Thanks for rolling that out

I'm on HF1 and it's slow AF... opening files, closing files, starting renders, stopping renders.. everything is just a lot slower...
and this is starting brand new scenes in 12HF1... I'm on max 24 aswell.

the most noticable is slowdown is rendering, starting and stopping a render is painful...

Sounds worth a ticket, and would need more info - what is your CPU, your RAM, you do mean Corona 12 Update 1 (Hotfix 1) and not Corona 12 (Hotfix 1), an example scene that is slow for you, and the info on this being with Max 2024 repeated on the ticket. https://support.chaos.com/requests/new

I have the same issue. Using Corona 12 - Update 1- (Hotfix 1). When rendering, doing anything else on my PC becomes almost impossible, slow opening, mouse lag etc.

thanks @maru. It doesn't appear to have helped, still somewhat laggy. I'm using AMD Ryzen Threadripper. I'll press on slowly :)

Hi,

You can select Intel denoiser, which can work on CPU, so it doesn't matter if you have Nvidia, or AMD card.

Intel denoiser should work with both Intel and AMD CPUs. I have AMD CPU myself and Intel denoiser works just fine.

Should work on that card, https://www.openimagedenoise.org/ - needs RDNA 2 or 3, which the card has, and so long as you are on the latest drivers it should be fine according to that Intel Denoiser requirements page. I'd send in a ticket, https://support.chaos.com/requests/new .
