I started using batch rendering recently and have come across an issue, I'm not sure whether it's a Corona thing or a Max thing.

The problem is that if you have light mix layers filled with lights, then save a render preset, and then use that render preset in batch render when Net Rendering, all of the lights in those layers will be deleted (the lights are deleted before the render actually gets submitted).

There was this thread a long time ago, but it didn't seem to go anywhere.

It is quite easy to replicate in my experience:
- Create a scene, add some lights.
- Setup a light mix layers and add those lights to a layer.
- Save the render settings as a preset.
- Open batch render and add the view.
- In the preset dropdown, add the saved render preset.
- Tick Net Render and then click render.
- After submission and the Max window returns, you'll see all the lights in the light layer are listed as <deleted>

Hi,

It would be a dark-sector to try render presets with lightmix layers, I would not bet on this. As far as I know, when render preset is loaded, the previous values are removed/reset, but this should be checked.
What I would recommend, as a workaround, is to have the lightmix configurations set up, get the renders with full (single) lightmix and then batch process them using Corona image editor.

If you can send a simple scene, with ready made render presets which differ in lightmix setup, so we can quickly have a look, that will be appreciated - there can be used (and parameters) nuances which can lead to different results.

This is a Max thing. The presets do not store anything scene-related, such as objects. It will be the same if you use another renderer.

Damn, I was worried that would be the case. What a pain, it makes Pulze's Scene Manager a lot harder to use without their Render Manager as well then.
