Hi
Maibe this has been reported but its still present in Corona 13 daily
When creating a Corona Physical Material it has a little gap, I know this is not a real issue, just something that keeps bothering my eye hehe

Acording to Froods post It looks like its completely on purpose when creating from the viewport in the SME, when creating from the Map Browser its displayed like your image

Got it, thanks for the link, I understand your feeling, sometimes the Corona way its a "little" crappy
