Hello all, not sure if mentioned before. I have attached two images, all I did is change the Diffuse color from light to dark, but the shadows change. Same thing happens when I change diffuse textures etc or even viewing angle.

Image 1, I have a light grey diffuse and the shadows look ok. I can see the table shadow etc
Image 2. I ONLY change the diffuse to a darker colour and then the shadows change to some large blob.

Let me know if you have any questions if what might be causing this.

How is your scene lighting setup? This maybe a light transport issue. You can go through this article : https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4528311915025-Known-bugs-and-limitations

Yes, it definitely does look like the "black highlights" issue. It happens, for example, when a strong light passes through an object which has shadow casting disabled.
