A workflow I'm really curious about is: using Corona with 3ds Max on my Windows computer, but then using CEXR files in CIE on my MacBook while on the go?

I'm wondering if if I were to do this, it would require getting a totally different C4D license as well, or whether there's a way to just have the image editor program?

This is probably a really dumb question; I've just been spinning my head upside down trying to do the mental gymnastics around this

Shouldn't give you any trouble to do that without any extra license. You can install full Corona on each, so long as just the CIE is running on the Mac at the time the rendering or working is happening on Windows. Though you could use custom mode to just install the CIE if desired (that is, you never plan or working / rendering on the Mac other than the CIE). Safe enough to give it a go too, to find out for sure that all is well :)
