Hi,

I am just wanted a help here on distance material as my base material is the same and I want all objects to have different colors or materials around it.

Screenshot Attached for ref. would really appreciate help or suggestions on this.

Hi,

For each different color/material you would have to use separate distance map.

how can i make separate distance map on same object?
the base object will remain same so on same hand how can i use that object in different distance map?

You don't need to use distance map on the base object. Only the objects that are driving distance effect should have distance map and not the object that is receiving the effect. Obviously driving objects must be separate in order for this to work. In the attached file you'll find two solutions, one for different materials and one for maps.

Additionally, if you change the mixing method to value (or whatever suits you), you will get a color mixing effect.

Now i was trying the same method, but i was not doing it logically correct. A big thanks for the working file.
