Hi,

We already have this reported in our system. We don't have a ASUSTOR to replicate the case 1 to 1, but may I ask you to try the following:
• Create another network accessible drive (e.g. one of the computers if that is the case), and store some of the textures there
• Try locating these textures just like you did before (load into CoronaBitmap), see if everything is fine with the new network.
This way we will narrow down the issue and understand if it has something to do with the actual NAS (model, system etc.) or not.

Just in case, make sure you run 3ds Max with admin rights too.

This has to be an issue with that specific NAS model (hardware, software, drivers, maybe some kind of protection or a setting). We received 2 support tickets from 2 different users with exactly the same problem. The only workaround for now is not using Corona Bitmaps.

If it happens to anyone else - please contact us at https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and attach a minidump generated during the crash/freeze. It is possible to capture minidumps during freezes, not only in case of crashes. Here is how to do it (see points 1 and 2): https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4649117083409-How-to-report-issues-3ds-Max

Hi, are you also using an ASUSTOR NAS?

We have this issue reported for our developers as (Report ID=CMAX-1050). We are currently busy with Corona 12 preparations, so we won't be able to look into it immediately.
The only workarounds we are aware of so far are:
- Using 3ds Max Bitmaps instead of Corona Bitmaps (you can convert all Corona Bitmaps in your scene to Max Bitmaps with a single click using the Corona Converter)
- Using a different NAS model
We have also contacted Asustor support and we are waiting for their response. We hope they will provide us with some further troubleshooting ideas.

The problem did not go away, the 3ds max 2025 corona 12-1 bundle. Went through Hell to understand the essence of the problem.
Will there be a solution to this problem?

We have already sent everything we could from our end to Asustator support. We are still waiting to hear back from them. It would be better to directly get in touch with them as a user if you are using there NAS, so they have more data to work with and provide a solution.
