You do not need to adjust both diffuse level and diffuse color. Just one of them. So either RGB 220 and diffuse level at 1 for white color. Or RGB 255 and diffuse level 0.85. Lowering both will give you bright gray.

To brighten the scene up additionally, you can increase exposure, and compensate for possible burned out areas by increasing highlight compression as well.

Hi !
Is it an HDRI for the background ? If yes how did you make the bottom part ? I'm trying to get the way juraj Talcik made his HDRI for his Iceland house (I ask him the question but he didn't answer)...
Thanks, and good beginning for your work ;)

Are you using just the HDRI without any adjustment? I mean without tweaking the output for example.

Where ? [to be honest I only manage to answer on FB, private messaging on all other platforms go around me]

Because I said in that thread it's simple CG-Source, you can buy it for 20 euros and keep adjusting in PS. The Daylight version is fully spherical.
Adding bottom is easy too, you just need either CS6-pro or CC to edit 32bit files.

Hi Juraj I knew you would react to this topic ... I forgot to mention that it must be due to lack of time and suddenly I was a little frustrated not knowing how to execute such a document.
And I confess I do not know how to do all this in Photoshop. I'll try tomorrow with these explanations!
Thank you for your answer

Just basic masking and some blends. There is not a lot of tonal range in ground, so it doesn't matter if that comes from regular source, you only need the range in the sky. But I blended two 32bit files anyway.

1. your diffuse is too bright (220 is like fresh snow).
2. possibly your hdri haven't enough dynamic range captured in it.

Well, before it was too dark, now it's too bright :D So obviously, now it's up to you. As romullus said RGB 200 should be about right for white walls.

In Color Mapping options, there is contrast setting you can increase. And if you are talking about lighting, then you either have wrong, or improperly loaded HDRI.

Hello man, try to change the gamma of the hdri, if you are able to use vray hdri slot change the output gamma to .75 this will increase the brightness of you render and decrease of the light in the dark areas.
On top as usual a pass of AO will help a lot.

This might be not the case in your problems ( gamma issue for sure)...but i would like to make a suggestion on the cropping of the image. Try to adjust your framing cause it is too frustrating.

But yes i would also say that your image looks washed out!
