Is it possible to use a pre made C4D corona material in 3DS Max?

I was on the roadmap was back in v6 there was a card for C4D to 3DSMax comaptibility?

I only ask as I am finding some really good Corona materials but they have all been made in C4D.

Many Thanks,

Rich

No sorry, it's not possible - since the materials are the same you can open it in C4D and copy the settings across, but there is no standalone format for materials that can then automagically be read by either software.

PS the item you recall was " Move implementation of all Corona maps into application-independent format", which was listed as a preliminary step that could lead to moving assets between applications. This step was completed, but it was only the very first (and probably easiest) in what would be a lot of steps, and for a large variety of reasons that situation has also changed so no further steps were taken.
