When I receive an existing scene with many missing Chaos Cosmos assets I would like to be able to quickly identify, mark and then batch download these asset packages from Cosmos.

I understand that in 3ds Max the Asset Tracking interface does show missing maps / shaders, as well as external links - vrmesh files.
What if from here the missing Cosmos assets could be quickly marked for download?

When it's just one or few missing assets it's not a big job to manually copy the name of the missing asset and then search for and download it from the Chaos Cosmos browser interface, but when there are many to find it can be quite time consuming.

Hi,

When sharing a 3ds Max you can use "Resource collector" feature as this will collect all necessary files into a single archive, making it easier to transfer all required asset at once, ensuring there are no files missing in the process.

Once the asset is imported from Cosmos into 3ds Max, it becomes a part of 3ds Max environment you should treat it as any other assets you would normally import in 3ds max, so when sharing your files, make sure to share its maps and related files too.

For your case, using resource collector would be a simple solution.

Thankyou Avi,

Yes, I do use Resource Collect whenever possible for myself when sending scenes. Plus I do request that scenes get packaged up correctly before being sent to me.

But I do often have situations while dealing with designers that are not familiar with the process when I do get scenes that are missing many assets and often it's a lot of Cosmos packages.

Just thought that an "auto-update" of the scene would be a useful feature.
