Hello, I have the following problem..

It is a parquet floor in a gym where floor markings and a logo are applied!
What is the best way to make the logo or the floor markings so that you can also see the joints between the parquet and that the lines do not have a smooth, even surface, but the structure of the floor is easily visible?
The logo is actually just text, so it should look identical to the lines.

I' ve attached a screenshot, which shows what exactly i mean!

Decals in Corona 10 would be my go to suggestion, as those have all the options you would need to define how things work with the base material displacement, bump, and other channels (in this case, you could combine displacement in the logo/markings with the displacement from the base material). That said, if you have modeled the different components of the floor (rather than just used a texture with displacement), then Decals in Corona 9 and earlier too would be fine :)

Another idea would be to create geometry where those floor markings should be and then use a Corona Distance map.
The Corona Distance map would show as white inside the markings geometry and black everywhere else.
Then this Corona Distance map could be used as a mask to blend two materials using Corona Layered Mtl.
The advantage here is that with Decals it may get challenging to place them correctly, because they are always rectangular and may sometimes overlap, touch at different angles, etc. With a Corona Distance mask, you just define where material A and where material B should be.
