Hi Corona team.

Is there a way to exclude xref scenes from the caustics calculations?

Thanks.

Hi,

Depending on the scene setup you have, you can enable Caustics include/exclude list, set to include and include only the objects from the main scene (the XRefed objects will not be listed and hence will not be included).
Other ways will be to disable caustics (if water material e.g.) in the Xref scene itself.

Oh! Sorry. I didn't realize I was able to switch to "include" instead of exclude. I thought include wasn't an option.
Thanks.

It's worth noting that this isn't a true "exclude" i.e. caustics will still be calculated on this object, but will simply not be visible in the render.

(Unless this has changed since this was last explained to us or I misunderstood)
