Hi,
i have a problem with this scene;
I have these bright white effects..
the water material is the preset in physical material;
in this case I can't exclude the walls from the caustics;
I don't use the bump fr the water but displacement : min 0 max 1 cm.
I also tried with bump without displacement but it's the same;

for the waves I used the noise map (I also tried other maps)..how can I do it? I don't know if I'm doing something wrong .. otherwise I remove the caustic effect
thanks for the support
Matteo

Can you let us know why you can't remove the walls from the caustics calculations? This looks like an ideal situation for that very approach :)

Hi, thanks for the support;
I would like that the effect on the ceiling could appear similar to the photograph; but maybe in my scene I can't have it ( maybe it depends on the inclination of the light etc...)

I tend to use a mirror first to get the caustics where I want them. Then replace it with a water material. ;)

@Matteosperi - are you using region rendering in your first image? If so, please note that caustics currently do not work well with region rendering. Please render a full-frame image instead.
Also, you may be interested in the newest Corona 10 daily builds - https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=38385.0
There are some caustics improvement in them.
Just keep in mind that daily builds are experimental, so always save backups of your scenes before opening them in daily builds!
