Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone knows how can I link or Instance a map without chaging the root? I mean applying a color correction for different bitmaps or procedurals and when we change one parameter of this color correction, change it for all instanced/linked color correction maps? It would be really usefull.

I saw DMZ - Material texture loader did something similar for the bitmaps. All bitmaps are linked. When we change the size/crop/UVW mapping of the texture, it is changed for all.

Anyone can help this poor soul?

Thanks!

Corona's Color Correct map has a 'Use settings from map:' option where you can specify another CC map and use its setup without changing the input map, changing the specified map parameters will then update all CC maps using it as a source.
Is this what you're looking for?

If you want to know how it's done, right-click on any material, or map node that is linked and select show all additional nodes. If you want to know how to do this by yourself, search for material editor controllers on 3ds Max help.
