Hey,
I use Blender, and I downloaded Corona to see how it is.  You've got some things right, but some things need a lot of work. 
You guys could really use some procedural textures (cloud, voroni cells, brick, checker, maybe a wave texture for wood, etc.)  That could really expand the capability of the renderer.  I would talk about more stuff you need, but sadly only one thing per post.  :)
