After updating Corona Renderer, the file I was working on got corrupted. The materials are not visible. It gives an error on startup. He wants me to convert the scene.
I urgently need to work on this file, how can I fix it.

I was using Corona 6 then I updated to Corona 7. But I had a lot of problems and I came back to Corona 6 again. My project has come to this.

Did you use Corona converter after switching to V7? If so, then all your materials has been converted to new physical material and the scene is not usable in earlier versions anymore. There's no other options than to re-create all materials from scratch, or install V7 again and continue to work with recent version.

Yep that was what it was looking like - it has been saved from Corona 7, using the Physical Material, and now you are trying to load it into Corona 6 which does not have the Physical Material (this is why always good to say what versions were used when reporting a problem).

This is often the case, that a scene saved in a new version cannot be used or even loaded sometimes in an old version. What problems were you having in 7 btw?

As mentioned though, the only solution is to continue to work with this scene in 7, or replace all Physical Materials in 6.

Yes, you are right, after updating the last version, the problem was resolved.  But I'm wondering if this problem only happens when I switch from Corona 7 to Corona 6?  Or what happens when switching from Corona 6 to Corona 5 ?
Choas must resolve this as soon as possible! İts terrible !!

There is nothing to resolve, sorry - naturally a new version has new features, maybe has changes to the code to provide extra speed, so may saves things in a way that something old may not understand. There may be new data, old data may be moved around, maybe old data is renamed. There is no way when developing Corona 7 we could have prepared for Corona 8  (or when developing Corona 6 we could have known all the changes to 7). So this compatibility is never assured, anything saved from a new version may not work in an old version. Only being able to see into the future would let us make 6 compatible with 7, or 7 compatible with 8 ;)

This basically means never use a version if you plan on ever using an old version on that project.

As asked, what problems did you have with 7 that made you want to revert to 6? The best resolution is to report those, so that we can get them resolved in 7 or other future version and you will never want to go back to an earlier version :)

The most important problem I couldn't work with in Corona 7 was related to the physical material, it was difficult to use and there was a project that I had to work on immediately, so I had to return to Corona 6.

Corona V7 fully supports V6's material, which was renamed to CoronaLegacyMtl. You can work with V7 and use old materials from previous versions just fine, just make sure not to run material converter, as it will turn all your materials to the Corona Physical. Also make sure to watch tutorial series about new physical material between your projects and familiarise yourself with it, because inevitably you will have to switch to using new superior material - it's the future. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt4UrWcQaAX-PCcVxhJ0NKEtXAyZu9-B3

TY for the feedback on what you found problematic in 7! We do have a feedback thread for reporting problems with or requesting improvements to the converter that changes old materials into the new Physical (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=33253.0 ), and we do invite feature requests for how the Physical Material (or any aspect of Corona) can be improved over at https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=5.0, so feel free to let us know if there were specific things that you'd like to ask for improvements to (while we can't guarantee meeting all Feature Requests, we do guarantee looking at them all and assessing them!)
