Hello Corona team and forum members,

I am experiencing a strange issue after installing (with no errors) Corona 6 for 3ds Max 2018 on a bootcamp partition with Win 7 Pro.

Here's the strange part: Corona is missing from the dropdown menu in the render settings, but the corona plugins have a LOADED status with a green light and in the description it says FAILED TO LOAD (see screenshot attached)

The plugins have already been moved to the stdplugs folder in 3DS max but that didn't solve the problem.

Is there anyone able to help me find a solution or tell me if I'm doing something wrong? I'm kinda new at Corona and 3ds and could't find anything similar in the forum :(

Thanks in advance for your support!
Cheers

Bogs

Make sure that your Windows is fully updated (run Windows Update multiple times, restart your computer, run again until the point where it will tell you that you are up to date).
Also install x64: vc_redist.x64.exe from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0

Sorry, I didn't notice that you are using Windows 7. Updating to Windows 10 would be definitely the best solution as Windows 7 does not get any further updates and is not even supported by Microsoft any more.

Thanks for the help Maru!

Actually updating windows (which was not an easy task due to some OS system issues) helped out and I finally managed to have Corona running on 3ds max 2018 (yes I know, would be better to update to WIN 10 but my mac pro is too old and doesn't support it so will need to invest in a new computer to fully enjoy the wonders of Corona)

Keep up the good work guys!

All the best and thanks again!

Best
