C4D R.23 is crashing when I start up the program.

Not every time, but often. I'd say, about 1 out of every 3 or 4 start ups, it crashes.

I sent the crash report to Maxon, and they are blaming the Corona plugin.

Here's my set up -
Corona Renderer 6
C4D R23
macOS BigSur 11.1
iMac Pro (2017)
Processor: 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W
Memory: 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB

Any ideas?

Hello,

do you have C4D Version R23.008 or R23.110? It was already observed that this issue does not occur in R23.110.
Additionally, we have added support for Big Sur in one of our daily builds for v7 (which is still in development, so some stability issues can be encountered, however, it solves this one in particular).

So from my point of view, you have two choices:
-Update C4D to R23.110
-Update Corona to V7 Daily Build from 19-11-2020 or newer.

Please, try and let me know.

Thank you very much Jan!

I am using R23.110 so I will take a look at the Daily Build.
