I need a handfull generic car models, readymade for C4D+Corona. I searched a lot of model sites, but don't see anything I know will work "out of the box".

Can anyone point me in a good direction?

Cars will be seen from "medium distance" and don't have to be rigged (but nice if they are).

Thanks!
Anders

Evermotion, Squir, Humster3D - they are all providing their models in various formats, including C4D.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

This is my area of work and I've never found any car that comes Corona ready. Well, maybe for Max+Corona. I think Corona needs to do a better job at marketing beyond being for ArchVis. In fact, even the cars that come in C4D format are not render-ready. These companies usually use Max to model the cars and only do a rudimentary conversion to C4D format, usually in r11 so you need to re-save the model with v19 or earlier in order to open the file in r20 or later. Materials are all place-holders except for the textures. You're just going to have to do some manual setup since the convert scene button does very little to help at all.

That said, after you set up materials for your first car, save that scene for the next car and replace the model. Then, you just drag the Corona material for Body Paint for example, onto the Body Paint material for the new model while holding Alt-Option. This will replace the bad with the good. Just go down the line and you can do a basic set up quickly. If your cars will be seen up close, then more attention to detail is in order. In particular the tires. That will make or break your renders. Headlights too. You might want to check out these material packs if you don't want to create your own.
