Minimal apartment
Hi folks,
I'm currently testing alpha6 with DR. Works like a charm. ;-)
But I noticed that using displacement on the carpet makes my slaves crash one after the other. It seems that they run out of memory (16gb).
Is there any way or setting which manages the memory consumption I might have been missed?
The rendering of my test scene below is using almost default render settings. Hope you like ;-)

Re: Minimal apartment
You can decrease displacement precision :) Also, never use World Space displacement. It is absolute suicide! I do not even know why it is in the UI!
So just try to increase screen size, and decrease max subdiv per poly :)

Re: Minimal apartment
Ah, ok thank you! I found it ;-) I will give it a try.
BTW: Is it normal that if you interrupt DR while initial pass , max crashes?
Cheers, Dirk
