Material converter doesn't work

Hello

I work on Mac and had to update to Catalina. I use Cinema R17 and Corona version: 5 hotfix 2.
Since then, my Corona Material Converter no longer works - does anyone know why?
If I create a new Cinema 4D material I can convert it, but V-Ray materials cannot be converted.

Is V-Ray installed, as it needs to be for the converter to work (even a trial, and even expired, but definitely needs to be installed)
