I saw the images on fb. A lot of likes for so many mistakes.First of all  :
01.The water drops are huge.
02.The metal spiders on the glass they also sit on a Column .
03.The  plane is to close to the glass facade .THat will never happend.
04. The floor textures looks big.
05.NO interior lighting.
Good idea but the execution is bad overall.

PS. If you create a story I need to understand that without you telling me.

Dude, did someone hurt you? Looking at your comments, you only criticize every work posted on this forum and you're not even right for most of it. It's so obvious that this render is not about correct window framing system or size of floor tiles (since when can't we use any texture size in this imaginary world of visualization?). No interior lighting? Are you for real? Do you even follow the story of this image?

While I support constructive criticism with comments on how to improve, your reply adds nothing to artist's work and your opinion on "good execution" is very shallow and ignorant. Please stop complaining about things that are irrelevant and trashing great work by people in this forum.

You saw the image got many likes and it doesn't make sense to you, so I will try to explain why.

Some images are not meant to accurately represent reality, but to evoke something.

None of your points mean anything because this is not an architectural render for a client.

People liked it because it bent reality just enough to produce an interesting, powerful and emotional image.

I will ad some criticism based on the story you told:

At first, I completely missed the crutch, maybe a wheelchair would be more obvious while driving the same point.
The images are eye-catching and attract your attention, precisely because they are unrealistic in just the right way, so congrats about that!

Would be wonderful if you continued the story... until the little girl becomes the first officer of a space ship at NASA, SpaceX, etc. ... and gets wings instead of perfect pair of legs. :)

Then, for the complete story, I imagine applying some 70´s color filters on these first scenes... Every decade with its specific color mood.

OK guys many of you don't really understand a how a forum works .
In general on  this kind of forums are for for people to post and to get criticised  by others so they can improve their work. There is not hate or whatever in my comments only critics that are going to help the creator of this images to get a better result.
I understand very well the storytelling behind the image and I think that it is a very good idea but  a god idea made bad it's a waist.

@razvanux - It's true about constructive feedback, and criticism is definitely better than leaving pointless "great work!" comments. That is something we repeated many times. But on the other hand, the way you share feedback is very important as well. It should not be done in an arrogant manner, and it should always be done with respect to others. I am sure that you had good intentions, but I can also understand that some users may have perceived it as slightly offensive.
For example here - https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=29147.0 , you wrote:

Very yellow images overall. You have something that is called  white balanced. The white need's to be always white .

It is rather obvious that the author is a professional, and even if his images appear highly warm / yellow, he understands the concept of white balance well, so telling him "You have something that is called  white balanced" is a bit rude. This could be of course because of the language barrier, or because of general issues coming with online communication.

I am far from giving you any kind of official notice, but please try to make your remarks as accurate as they currently are, but more friendly. :)

There's also "In my opinion....." e.g. "In my opinion, the images are too yellow, and I would have used white balance to remove that". Some things just are opinion and not an absolute thing that everyone must follow always :) And phrasing it that way makes it clear, it's a suggestion, something you would do if the images were yours, and the artist and other readers are then free to take it onboard, or not, as they choose.

Well, now that I read your comment maru I must admit my reply to this guy was probably a bit too aggressive. However, we both make the same point and I totally agree that there's a huge difference between stating a personal subjective opinion and giving constructive feedback that is based on experience/knowledge.

But let's not make this another ranting thread :) don't worry, be happy!

I'm a huge fan of these images and it was really nice to see them "trending" on social media. The storytelling and the lighting you've used to get the mood going is really on point as far as I'm concerned as they compliment each other nicely imho.

I did not quite get the story behind these at first glance though and that is mainly because the little girl is in a dark corner and I kind of just didn't see why she can't be a pilot / airplane crew. It totally flew by my head :)

That said, I'm personally kind of drawn to images that make you work for it. It's a bit of a weird thing I suppose.

We all strive for that perfect composition that tells the story upon first glance and frankly in some ways I really like to see work like yours that made me work a tiny bit before I got it. Once I saw what was going on I was unable to unsee it - So it kind of felt rewarding.

I suppose thinking about it, what I think really drew me into these is the fact that they look interesting on their own even if you ignore the storytelling aspect. So looking at them for a couple of seconds (because they look visually appealing) and then figuring out the story just felt nice.

That said, I do think if you are intent on primarily telling a story then there could perhaps be more done to highlight it. I do think most people will catch on it quickly but if you really wanted to make everyone figure it out right away, yeah, perhaps could be highlighted a bit more somehow. Personally, I think its awesome the way that it is :)

Anyway, clap clap, this weirdo really likes what you did with these :)

As for the other "offtopic" comments... Whether its a language barrier or not I do agree with Maru, Tom and Mase. Criticism is alright and totally welcome but I do think it is also important to dish it out in a friendly manner and not coming off passive aggressive or just plain jaded. It's not like your (or anyone elses) criticism is the golden truth or anything.
