Is it confirmed that vector displacement does not have triplanar support as of Corona version: 6 (DailyBuild Apr 28 2020)?

If you are only using the Triplanar map as a mask for your displacement, you should be able to get the same using the Falloff map.

Reverse triplanar is effective, thanks @Sprayer
