hello there!
this is my first post here,
is there any way to recreate the same corona highlight compression in post effect programs?

Hi,

Well, there are two things to do that I'd say.
First render as .cxr and use the Corona Image editor.

Second, output your image in a 32 bits format, (.exr) and use something like Arion Tonemapper or any other tonemapper from the app of your choice. They all should have things to controll the highlights. How better/worse than Corona's own highlight compression will be, I can't say.

I have 32 bit exr and in nuke i can use color corrections and limits .. but it just feels like corona has something else to do with the highlights .. it's something I want to apply (same result) in post. I read through the old posts and there was a formula but didn't get me there.
