Dubcat has shared many, many tools to the forums, something for which I am *extremely* grateful. However, some of those tools are legacy assets that are not relevant for newer versions of Corona. For the most part, I am considering: GGX Fix, Roughness to IOR, IOR Fix 32, Specular to IOR - at least one of these imports automatically from Quixel Bridge.
  • Are all of these still useful (necessary) for Corona 5-6?
  • For example, after introduction of the PBR rendering mode for the default Corona Material, is Dubcat's GGX fix still required?
  • How do the Roughness to IOR and Specular to IOR (Quixel Bridge) differ?
  • What about all the falloff curves, e.g. grazing angle falloff?
If it would be helpful, I can link to the forum posts where these items are shared, but if these different maps / tools enhance the visual fidelity of materials rendered with Corona, that might be a good reason to include some sort of official documentation / implementation for them.

Dubcat has recently requested us to remove his forum threads (at least some of them), because they did more harm than good because of the outdated information. He also said he would post new, updated threads, but did not share any time frame, or promise anything at all.
So we can just wait for new, awesome content. :)

Ahh, I was wondering why the 'HOW TO: Make a Calibrated Material Scene' was pulled - that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying +1
