Amazed how fast its rendering this grass patch.
It was looking great at 3 minutes. This scene took 10 minutes with a basic vray IM + LC setting while this was done with corona PT + PT!

As for me, your grass has way too much translucency. It reminds me this: http://en.es-static.us/upl/2012/03/seaweed.jpeg or this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rqu-05s5zoQ/UbCMHfmo-NI/AAAAAAAADrM/YdtDJYU49gs/s1600/DSC_0358.JPG Don't you want to try to reduce it?
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Yeah your right actually now that i look at it in comparison to those photos! haha

Ill have another play with the translucency. I can't seem to maintain the life of the grass when i lower it though, it just turns so flat. Any other parameters i should be playing with besides diffuse, reflectivity and translucency?

Well, I would add more grass objects because those that you operate on now, make your grass look repetitable.
