Hi, I have a question regarding used threads in Corona (5);

In the cinema4D preferences, I have set that I want to use 64 of my 80 threads, to leave me enough threads to continue working.

However when I render, in the task manager source control, I see that all 80 cores are working at 100% and my system is quite unusable until render finishes, leading to understandable frustrations...

What is the correct way to prevent this? and does corona follow the cinema4D prefence setting concerning threads for rendering?

thanks, Koen

Hey there! Are you talking about final frame rendering or the IR? If its the IR then you actually need to set a thread limit in the Edit -> Preferences -> Corona options :)

It's actually when normally rendering a frame in picture viewer of VFB.

For use with IR, I will check if IR is better when I downsize thread for that. I actually don't use IR so much because it crashes c4d like within 5 minutes.
I must say that my scenes are fairly complicated and detailed with many assets.
