It would be useful in some instances to be able to manipulate the shape of the corona volume grid with FFD or bend modifiers to make existing simulations fit more challenging scenarios.
For example id like to stretch the top quarter of a smoke simulation to make it appear its being pulled by a fan but AFAIK this isnt possible?

I really don't think this is possible as the modifiers are geometry/polygon based.
