Hello,

a) I wonder, why my IPR render looks very denoised (no grain, no details visible)
Is there another hidden setting?
I did not apply denoising to lights and I did not activate "fast denoise preview during render".

When I toggle a light I can see the sharp grain just for a second then it is blurred again.

b) When I hit render (saving file as tiff) it is showing question marks at "remaining time".
(it's a interior scene)
Is that typical? And how can I estimate the time needed?

(attached a screenshot)

Thanks

Your screenshot is indicating that Nvidia AI denoising is active. Make sure that is really disabled. For regular rendering, denoising can be activated or disabled in render setup>scene>denoising. For interactive rendering, denoisingcontrol is located at render setup>performance>interactive rendering.

In order for Corona to be able to show render time estimate, render limits must be set. You can find them in render setup>scene>progressive rendering limits.

Hope that helps.

Hi,
My interactive renders use the fast denoising but when I try to use the Nvidia GPU AI for my final render I don't see it having any affect. I installed Corona 6 HF1 and made sure the separate NvidiaAiDenoiser file was in the same folder. I also updated my 1080ti with the latest drivers. Any idea why it's not being used in final rendering?
Thanks

Since that's a different question than the original one here, it would have been best asked in its own thread.

Also, like the original poster, we'd benefit from seeing a screengrab of your settings. Bear in mind that there are two places you can enable AI denoising - one for IR (the checkbox), and one for final render (the dropdown list). One does not affect the other :)
