 Hello,
Im not even using corona, im using v-ray for these scenes but chaos group forums aren't exactly super helpful... When I attempt to use the render queue I get the "Error - Out of Memory". When I try to render in only the picture viewer I get a popup from corona which I have attached to this post. I've tried several things I've seen on other posts to fix this issue but nothing is working, anyone have any advice or run into this problem?

 * Side note, I have plenty of RAM available so I'm not sure whats causing this.

Hello, CullenJCreations!

It seems to me like you only have 16GB of RAM, which might be a bit low for some larger scenes. In any case, the popup can be ignored if you click on "Ignore similar messages". It will not popup anymore until you restart C4D.

the problem is ive done everything I possibly can to free up space and I have 715GB of memory left so theres no reason at all it should be saying memory is low

Remember that memory is RAM - no-one has more than 128 or 256 GB installed on their systems, so you can't have 750 GB left :)

Your system has 16GB of RAM installed (which in this modern age, is not that much for large scenes).

Thanks for clearing that up! I was looking at Disk space. But then why would I all of the sudden not be able to render if Ive done 1000s of renders on this exact computer with no problems before?

If you're not rendering with Corona, then rendering should work as normal (if it always has before). Total memory used depends on what other applications are running at the time, so could be more running this time (or some update has made one more memory hungry). Could be something about this scene just happens to need more memory (more geometry, larger textures, more textures, more instances or cloners, more displacement, etc.).

Even if this message popped up with Corona, it normally just means things will render but will render more slowly (same could be true on the other engine, just it doesn't have a warning dialog to tell you that ;) )

My scenes are always the same and have remained the same. the only difference is now I use r21. Ive uninstalled corona as I am using vray for this scene (client only wants vray) and my picture viewer renders now but the render queue does not.I ordered 2 more 16gb sticks but from what Ive read people have done this and still get the error.

Entirely possible that R21 uses more memory than whatever previous version you used. If this error is popping up from Corona, Corona is definitely not uninstalled. Support will be able to advise on things you can check to ensure it's entirely removed from your system (but note that the message is just informative - the same low memory condition will be happening, just that it won't be a message to tell you about it.)

Not sure of which other people mentioned adding more memory didn't stop the error (would love to hear from them so we can investigate :) )

I only received the message from corona previous to uninstalling it. I got it fully removed. I guess Im out of luck until the new sticks come but im sure that wont even work.

Other examples of this issues :

^ sounds like this is the same problem Im having and wont be fixed until the next update?

That post on the V-Ray forum doesn't sound like it was a Corona out of error message, since the V-Ray team fixed it (so it would have been a V-Ray out of memory message). It also sounds like that V-Ray message was triggering even when memory wasn't low, and only affected SP1 of R21, and is fixed in the nightlies of V-Ray since Jan 2nd.
