I am currently trialing Corona 5 for 3dsmax and I have run into an issue where I can consistently crash my 3dsmax by rendering a particular camera.

Previous to this i have not had any issues (over the last week or so since switching to corona from vray). I have converted the scene, tried rebooting, reinstalled corona and it still crashes when trying to render.

EDIT1: I have just tried rendering this specific scene/camera on another PC and i get the same issue it crashes 3dsmax after rendering for a few mins.

I have included the minidump file from the crash to this message.

Thankyou,

Hi,

I think it would be best if you could upload the scene with crashing camera if possible. You can strip the scene from all the assets, just leave the cameras. That would help for support team to identify the cause of crash much easier. You can use private uploader: https://corona-renderer.com/upload

Hi,

I agree with what Romullus said. It would be best if you could upload your scene and we will take a look at it.

Thanks,

Rowan

I have just uploaded the file (only the camera)

Did some testing:

Forest pack off - Crash
Override Material - Works

I have a feeling it is an object which created a set of nested MultiMaterials and I have since cleaned it up and it SEEMS to be working so far will keep you updated if it still crashes.

Hi,

I'm a little confused. You have uploaded the scene with just the camera. Which for me doesn't crash.

You say that your scene is crashing with ForestPack in it. Can you please provide me the scene which crashes for you?

Thanks,

Rowan

Any news here? Can we please get a scene where the issue can be easily reproduced? Thanks! :)
