Hello Ondra,

I think, in the new A6, you have to add a serious exporter (Macroscript) for a proxy, like for VRay. And add a new category called Corona.
Now the exporter is buggy script and unsupported. It isn't a good for Corona.

Next step that I suggest you is to add a macro and crate a default toolbar with Camera, proxy, Light and so one (with icon)
All this it will make more professional and user friendly Corona.

you're talking about the corona proxy 'from mesh' function ?
I had no problem with it till now but I'm curious about the issue you had.

I'm talking about this

This script has some bug inside about directory output.

We need some good exporter, like VRay exporter.

But if you're using a corona proxy object and choose 'from scene' option, when you select the object you want to 'proxy-mize' it saves it on the drive at proper location doesn't it ? I started a properly converted bank like that and haven't noticed any trouble. Then you can in further project, or the same one choose a corona proxy 'from file' and point it to the previously saved location, it works flawlessly.

At least that seems to solve the location problem from the (deprecated?) script, having more options is of course debatable topic; some needs them, some wants a clean minimal usefull interface... that's dev choice.

You don't understand. The bug is in the Proxy exporter script , not in the proxy loader plugin

"Again added ability of CProxy to read cbin files, but not write. Use cmesh format for exporting. It is possible that some scripts that have hardcoded .cbin extension will fail and will need to be updated"

So, do we need to rebuild our asset? All my proxy are .cbin.
And, what about an official exporter?

if you have something saved as cbin, you can use it. But you cannot save new files to that format anymore. Save your new proxies as cmesh. I might do some automatic format conversion script in the future.

Ondra, now I'm working with A6, cause a lot of work and I don't want to use a daily version.
So, now I'm using the good, old script. But it creates only a *.cbin file.
Well, what can I do now? do I must to continue to use this method?
If I install the daily build, how can I create a *.cmesh proxy?
Can I use the old script?

Sorry for my question, but we use a lot proxy in all our projects.

what script? It should be trivial to modify, just open it, search for .cbin, and replace with .cmesh

cmesh supports more features, like multiple mapping channels

Ok. So, well, about the script,  just open it, search for .cbin, and replace with .cmesh.
Is it ok? Sorry, but I don't know MAXScript. =(

Ok, thanks. Sorry, but we worked hard to create a new asset in Corona. And it's very time consuming process!
And I don't want to do errors ;-)
