Hi, I am starting on a project where I want to render inside a room, multiple (read hundreds) floor finishes in a specific (spherical) camera
Is this something that can be done with a corona compatible plugin or multipass?
I'm unfamiliar with multipass so I don't know if it is possible and if so how to proceed

Any help on strategy or example setup file is much appreciated!
thanks!

Hi guys, we really do our best to respond within 24 hours via our helpdesk (https://help.c4d.corona-renderer.com/support/home) and we are usually much faster than that. So if your issue is urgent, please use that channel. We also check the forums and provide answers, however this is the less official channel, so it may often take us more time.
But enough excuses. :) Help is on the way.

HI, the Corona Select Shader would be very useful here. It will allow you to link up to 99 materials and can be used with keyframe animation. Sorry about the crappy gif

When I try to open your file i get an error message that the plugin "select" is missing.

The Select Material is currently only available in the latest v5 dailies. Luckily that release is getting close and closer to "final" release :)

thanks, this will speed up the preparation process, and keep the file lightweight because I won't have to duplicate the geometry for each variant.
Nonetheless I will have to wait for a final version of v5, until the renderfarms have also upgraded to v5.

It wasn't the ideal solution I was hoping for though. I thought maybe I could render each texture to a different multipass layer and then switch on/off in photoshop to save different files, and thus render only one frame... maybe I was unrealistically optimistic about that :-D
