Hi all,

I'm extremely new to using Corona. Currently I'm using the trial, to see if this is the render engine I want to use throughout the next year.
Everything was going good, except that when I started rendering out my board in different positions, some of the renders had weird noise in them. I'm not sure where the issue lies, it's not in the material.
The noise is ALWAYS in the same place, it's sometimes more and sometimes less (depending on the movement of the board), I don't think it has to do with the position of the light as it moves with the board...

Here is an example of what happens... I'm really confused.

Someone help please?

Is that a shadow, or is it something that shouldn't be there at all? Is it by any chance placed in the scene origin? (0,0,0 position)

I'm not sure. It's really strange, because it appears when the platform moves, at different strengths. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less. But it's only ever truly gone when the platform is level.

Can't really tell much from the image, for me at least I am not at all sure what I am looking at - best of all would be to see the scene, you can send it via private uploader. We'd also need more info - what version of Corona, what version of C4D, what OS? If the scene can't be sent, we'd need a screengrab of the scene set up, so at least we can see what objects are involved and where they are positioned, and some info on the materials being used, what lights are being used, etc. (those kinds of things would be answered if you can send the scene, of course :) ). See https://help.c4d.corona-renderer.com/support/solutions/articles/12000033461-how-to-report-issues-c4d for the kinds of info we need, and the link to the private uploader.

Thanks! I've sent the file... Hopefully the issue can be resolved :-O After the speedy render time and the quality I think it's definitely something I can use over the next year but first this issue needs to be resolved, aha! :-)

I've uploaded the file as 1570107443_weird-noise.c4d

Hi, I have looked at your file and can say that it's your geometry that is creating this artifact. I selected the 'Boole.1' object, switched to poly mode, selected the center section and deleted it. Now it renders okay. ;)
