I do a lot of work in Grasshopper, and I cannot help but think about how similar the GUI is in Grasshopper to that of the Slate material editor. But one thing that has bothered me with the Slate editor is the moment I need to do the same repetitive operation for several maps—whether that be a output adjustment, color correction, etc.

I wish there were a component that you could plug a map and an operation into. Say you have a color correction that you want to apply to several maps. With this component, you could plug one color correction component into several of these components that would also have the corresponding map plugged in as well. I have attached a rough sketch to illustrate this idea.

My hope is that something like this already exists, and I'm just missing it. Is there a good way to apply the same adjustment to several maps?

That's already possible to do with controllers. Maybe it's not a most convenient way, but nonetheless, funcionality is there.

The controllers make for terribly messy layout, I am glad it exists, but actively avoid using it because even the creation of the setup is annoying.

This is rightly request for Autodesk though... I wonder, does 2018+ have some form of user-made OSL node that helps with this ?

I keep forgetting, but with Corona colour correct, that's already possible. Look at the attached screen.

I agree with you on the set-up part, but not necessary on the messy part - by default materials and maps loads with additional parameters hidden out of the way, so they doesn't contribute to the clutter in editor. Of course, needless to say, that Corona's implementation is muuuch more convenient.

Thank you for pointing this out! If Corona can do this, perhaps they could also implement this same feature with some other components.

They who? Autodesk? I think you really should post this on their forum as already suggested, because i doubt Corona devs can do much about it.
