Hi,

I'm having issues with rendering displacement maps in Cinema 4D. I've tried out different phong tag settings on my mesh and I've also tried different subdivision surface settings, but I'm still getting chunkiness in my renders.

I've attached a test render and you can see the chunkiness around the lips and ears. It feels more like bump mapping rather than true displacement.

Is this just the limitations of the current displacement feature in Corona? Or am I not setting up the displacement settings properly? There's no documentation on the correct setup for rendering displacements in C4D.

Any tips will help.

Thanks!

Hi, without seeing the scene and the textures that are being used it's a little hard to say exactly what is or isn't going on. Are you able to share the file via our private uploader here? https://corona-renderer.com/upload

Also, does lowering the displacement screen size in the render settings have any effect?
