Hey all,

starting a fun project today. Will be trying to recreate a scene similar to the attached.
Any advice for how to create this kind of scene?

I have no trouble with the modelling or texturing.

Advice needed for:-

Scale of objects
Camera distance without getting clipping
Environment settings (fog/distance haze)
use HRDi or Sun and sky

Use the existing image as a background and make the scene. :)
I do not know what exactly do you mean/want with "recreate a scene"?

First, block out geometry.
Second, set the base environment & lighting for the scene.
Then, you'll suddenly realize more about the specifics of the scene & what it needs... iterate further on to the final detail. ;)

PS.If you wish real constructive advise on the matter, here's your first homework:
- Create new topic  and show progress in WIP zone (describe your plan intent, goals, tools...)

As for scale, find a large tree near the statues. Assume that tree is 90 feet tall (25 meters). Stack the trees on top of each other and count how many tree it takes to to match the height. Simply multiply that number by 90 feet or 25 meters. That should give you a crude scale of the scene.
