Hi! I had installed the RC4 version of Corona 4. Now that I have installed the released version, I cannot open max anymore. It happens both in Max 2019 and max 2020. It stops CoronaUtils2019.dlt and same for max 2020 (coronaUtils2020.dlt). I have uninstalled Corona and tried installing it again, but same thing happens. Please help!

Hi,

Which language is your Windows version set to?

We are aware of an issue with launching Max in versions of Windows in some languages. Please try setting it to English and see if this helps.

Thanks,

Rowan

Hi,

In this case can you please generate a minidump from Max so we can work out what is going on?

Instructions on how to generate a minidump are in my signiture, you will need to follow step 2.

In the meantime, can you try checking that your region settings are also set to English?

Thanks,

Rowan

I changed Region to english, that didnt help any.
I'm unable to make a minidump because 3ds Max doesn't even boot up. the error happens in loading the program and then 3dsmax is only listen in background processes and not shown in Process Explorer.

It is not enough to change the region. You need to change the locale to United States.

Btw, I have a exact same machine at my home, with same windows settings and corona 4 works there. But not on my office computer. Same regional settings etc...

Let's try a different approach: try renaming the C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\[Max version]\ENU folder and starting Max again.

ANother weird thing. I had Corona RC4 installed before, it worked fine. THen after I uninstalled that and installed the FInal release it stopped working. Now, I tried to install the RC4 again, and it will not start either.

yes, if I uninstall Corona 3ds Max works fine. I have tried to reinstall Corona as Administrator and start Max with Admin, doesn't help :(

We've had a Team Viewer session with Joachim. We did not manage to solve the issue, but we got Corona 3 to work. I captured a minidump and we will investigate this.

Hi,

Which version of Windows/Corona are you using?

Can you ensure that your version of Windows is up to date?

Cheers,

Rowan
