Can't open MAX after updating to the latest version of corona (others at the office has the same issue).

MAX loading screen stops at "Loading plug-in: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2017\plugins\CoronaUtils2017.dlt"

Any solutions?

I can't open max either. Tried 3 different max versions on 8 computers, but max opens on only 2 of them. The others get stuck on loading coronautils20XX

We're struggling with the same issue here as well. Max 2019 is currently locked under startup during "Loading plug-in: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2019\CoronaUtils2019.dlt"

Hi,

Which version of Corona did you update from?

Can you try uninstalling Corona and resinstalling it and see if that helps?

Thanks,

Rowan

Updated from Corona 3, both with and without the hotfix. We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling on several computers, doesnt help. Only 2 computers at the office have successfully installed the update.

Hi,

Okay thanks for the information, I've just tried it here and it seems to work okay for me..

Can I ask you just to try the following;
-Run the uninstaller from C:\Program Files\Corona
-Restart your computer
-Install the new version of v4.

If this doesn't help, I will ask you to generate a minidump that we can analyse. Instructions on how to do this are in my signiture. (Step number 2).

Thanks,

Rowan

Found out how to do it - but the problem is that MAX wont open, it stops at the "green" loading screen, how do we then get a .dmp file?

Hi,

Ah okay, here is a link to the article: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006 It is step 2 which you will need to follow, it has instructions on how to generate the dump file..

Which version of windows are you using?

Thanks,

Rowan

We're going run the process explorer tomorrow. But I think we figured it out - the computers that doesnt work are running the norwegian version of Windows, the ones who work are running the english OS. And one of the other posters ("oxivisuals") seems to be a norwegian company aswell.

Corona 4 doesnt speak Norwegian...

Hi,

Aha, yes I remember something similar in the past.

Can you try to change your windows region settings to english and see if that helps?

Please let me know if it works for you.

In the meantime I will speak with our dev team and see if something can be done about this for future releases.

Thanks,

Rowan

Changing Windows to english worked, but some of us got errors and had to delete the enu-folder aswell.
