Hi forum,

Here is a crop of my current wip. As you can see, I'm having problem with those white spots I can't get rid off, no matter render time or passes. I'm using the latest corona daily build (2019-05-15) on 3dsmax 2018, caustics on glass materials on the table and not on the background glass, and "Fast caustic solver" is enable.
Many thanks for your help,

Julien

Do the dots also appear if you disable caustics? If yes, you could post this in the Daily Builds discussion thread as it's probably a problem with the caustics feature in development.

Hi,

Thanks for answering. Here are crop, no postproduction, with and without caustics on (material and fast solver). White spots seem random.

Good day,

Julien

It could be that one or few materials in the scene has weird properties, i suspect it could be those metallic glassware. Try to hide or override objects/materials one by one, untill you'll find the offender.

Hi romullus,

I'ts a huge scene, lots of proxies, materials and all. No memory leaks though. Overriding material one by one is not an option, I can't afford to spend that time. I have some warning about "normal maps" and gamma (vray converted materials) but if I freeze the layer, and render, there are still white spots. All other materials were manually created or from corona material library.
Here's another crop image from another area, lots of white dots on the ground, especially If you zoom in.

Ok, then try resetting render settings and see if white dots will remain.
