Maxscript - Rename render from text file list?

Could any maxscript wizards assist me with a task?
I have a few hundred unique product ID's for my renders and id like to run a pre render script to pull the next name from a csv or text file and name the render with it.
This would save me hours of manual renaming.
If its not easy to do with maxscript ill probably end up cobbling together some random vb.net form to do it but any help would be appreciated!
