How do you set up 2 computers for disturbing the rendering? Is it a simple case of connecting them with a LAN cable and downloading some software (backburner, DR server) and installing Corona? Do both computers need to be running the exact same version of Windows?  I'm not much of a computer tech so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Basically: Yes as simple if you have a running network. Backburner is part of 3ds max, DrServer is part of Corona so generally no need for downloading anything additionally. They do not need to run the same windows but their Max/Corona configuration has to be identical (same Max version, same Corona version, same plugins installed on all participating nodes etc.).

Then do not download/install the latest Backburner version. Best to use the one that ships with your Max 2015. BB 2019+ does not support Max < 2017.
