vray (cpu) vs corona (cpu)
The holidays have an opportunity to test corona and vray so I want to share with friends. Read together.

* About lighting: both are similar The shadow will look sharper and more realistic. The vray has a softer color gradation.

* denoise: the vray can do better, making the render more sensitive

* Bloom And Glare corona is better than easy to adjust Adjusted a little bit out and pretty. The vray looks hard.

* dof: corona can be done and look deeper than vray

In total, if the subject is beautiful and easy, I give it to corona, but I have to exchange it for 2-3 times more time for render. Than

corona is suitable for design viz. It is important to use because it is easy to use, while vray has a lot more features, works more like vfx, animation and design viz

Easy to give to corona because there are not many options to adjust. If you want to be alchemy, you must vray.

vray has both gpu and cpu
corona only cpu

PS. This beauty depends on the preference of each person. The vray is beautiful, corona, it's beautiful. Depends on what work we want to use
Saw that it was useful to help share

you are forgeting many things, for example stability, for several years of using corona it was never hang or crash, with vray what i was used few time it was crash and gives screen of death etc.
And vray interface is ugly, corona have more simple and user friendly, also setup scene much faster and corona not giving this plastic looking image. In forum there is many topics like this -_-

I am sorry, but this comparison is really bad and may cause confusion or even make others draw false conclusions.
First of all, you did not explain:
-What was the rendering time
-How many passes were rendered
-How the scene was set up - was it automatically converted from one renderer to another? Were the materials recreated manually from scratch? How is the lighting made?
-Some images don't seem to be loading
-You did not show the final result of Corona and V-Ray rendering

Never ever in my entire history of using V-Ray (been using it since 1.5 RC1, so close to 12 years now) have I seen V-Ray cause a screen of death. To me this sounds more like a hardware issue under full load, possible overheating.

I also don't like how people are comparing versions of V-Ray that are apparently years old to Corona. Try V-Ray Next, you would be amazed how simple it is. For more then two years now I didn't touch any settings apart from the noise threshold. It can not be simpler these days. Throw anything at V-Ray and it renders. If you are still fiddling around with any settings beyond that, you are likely to increase render times.
