Hello.

Not sure if this has happened before and could not find it in the search function. However, 3dsmax 2012 64bit seems to crash when I try to render files that have a higher height then width. Even playing with the render settings and rendering a normal HD image seems fine most of the time, though in some instances even that has crashed during testing.
( for Images above 2k.) The file takes around 5gig while rendering and my machine spec has 16gig.

It renders fine on 800x600.

Thanks for any advice. :)

Alpha 5.

Darn, I did put a cheeky Alpha 5 tag on the render dialogue. :)

My guess is that this is a problem of the framebuffer in A5 I already fixed. Try this again when A6 is out just to be sure, but I feel that the problem is already fixed ;)

Yes, as I do have the same issue with other files using a higher vertical height. If the file is simple it renders but with more geometry it would crash.

I will wait for A6 and thanks for the super render engine, makes life easy for guys like me. :]
