In interactive rendering mode, how do I render a higher resolution than my screen size?

Currently, the render region seems to be limited to the visible part on my screen. I would like to render the whole image at the same time.

Not possible, but also raises the question of why you would want to - rendering a large resolution will be quite slow, and so negate the benefits of IR. You will still be rendering the whole image, just at a lower resolution, which gives improved responsiveness to scene changes etc which is what IR is all about. Any particular workflow you were thinking of where this would be useful?

I gotta be honest, I think this is useful too :) Octane for example actually allows you to lock the VFB to the actual render size and so if you are working on a camera angle and you know the final image is going to be 8k... You can just edit the material for a specific object and see how it will look like in 8k from that angle. Obviously, doing something like a fullscreen 8k is crazy but for region renders I really find that particular feature useful.

I imagine this is something for the core team though :)
